Drink Them Before They’re Famous: Autumn Tasting Dinner at Seasons 52

With the change of season from summer into autumn, now is the time for a new Autumn menu at Seasons 52. Autumn is a favorite time of year for many, and a great time of the year to enjoy late-harvest crops such as squash, mushrooms and pumpkin. Last night I was able to taste some of the new (or updated) offerings at Seasons 52 in Cherry Hill New Jersey as part of their “Drink Them Before They’re Famous” wine program. Master Sommelier George Miliotes at Seasons 52 always does a wonderful job pairing interesting wines with Chef Clifford Pleau’s menu, and I always walk away from one of these events with new wines on my “must buy” list. Last night was no exception.

Last night I had the pleasure to preview the new Summer menu items at Seasons 52 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The Spring menu tasting event in March had been wonderful so I was really looking forward to seeing what new items they’d be introducing for the summer season, and Seasons 52 did not disappoint. Overall I liked nearly everything I tasted and appreciated how these new offerings celebrated so much of what makes summer my favorite season for food and dining.

Seasons 52: New Spring Menu Review

On Tuesday night I had the pleasure and privilege of being able to experience the new offerings on Seasons 52 spring menu, as well as hear the restaurant’s Culinary Director Clifford Pleau and Master Sommelier George Miliotes talk about these latest appetizers, entrees and drinks via a live webcast. Now, those who know me well know that I am often skeptical about “chain restaurants”, even as I admit they have a respectable place and time in the dining world. When I’m on the road in unfamiliar territory, especially in suburban areas lacking many local, unique dining experiences, there are certain chains I’m relieved to find because I know I will be able to enjoy a certain constant, consistent level of food. Yet in general I always prefer to dine at local, independent, non-chain establishments when I can.
