The "South Jersey Foodie" is Nicole Pellegrini, sometimes known as sockii. She enjoys life as a writer, artist, webmaster, crafter and avid food-lover living in some of the last vestiges of active farmland in Gloucester County, New Jersey. She shares her home with her partner David, a podiatrist in Woodbury NJ and their six cats: Peanut, Norman, Sammo, Mischief, George and Benny.
I believe in enjoying life - and that includes enjoying as many different kinds and styles of food as possible. I am an omnivore with a personal passion for small, sustainable, ethical farming and natural foods. I have little patience for the "Food Police" or those who advocate that one dietary plan is the only "right" one for everyone. Find your personal balance and conscience; make food a joy in your life - that's my motto.

What is gelato? only one of the tastiest treats ever from Italy. Ice cream taken to a whole other level of flavor and deliciousness. If you’ve ever had real Italian gelato before, you know this to be true. But did you know you can make gelato at home as well? And that it’s not hard at all to make?
Sometimes I just have to admit it: New York City’s restaurant scene and culture simply kicks Philadelphia’s ass. And times I have to admit it are when I discover and visit amazing NYC restaurants like Sfoglia on the Upper East Side. Last night I enjoyed an enchanting, delightful meal there with my sweetie on one of our rare single-day escapes to New York. We tend to end up on the UES a lot so we’ve tried a number of places in the area over the past several years, but Sfoglia was easily the most stunning to date.
I’m working on updating this list of restaurants serving Feast of the 7 Fishes dinners in Gloucester County. It will also include those restaurants not serving a traditional fixed menu but seafood specialties for the night.
