First Impressions: Cedarvale Winery

The third and final winery I visited on the July Barrel Tour weekend was Cedarvale Winery, also close to home for me in Logan Township, New Jersey. Fourth-generation farmer Ed Gaventa and his wife Marsha converted 5 acres of their 200-acre produce farm to wine grapes and opened the winery in 2008. All their wine is produced from grapes and fruit that comes straight from their farm, so you know it’s fresh and they’ve put their heart, soul, and hard work into each bottle (Marsha showed me how they hand-cork and label each bottle, so a little personal touch goes into each wine they sell to their customers.)
