This past weekend saw me in Atlanta for my annual Dragon*Con experience – although this may have been my last year for a while, as sales were seriously down for me in the dealer’s room and I’m tempted to go work LoneStarCon in San Antonio next Labor Day instead. We visited a few of our old regular favorite restaurants, including TAP, Max Lager’s and Truva, but one night some fellow dealers invited us along to one of their favorite places: Mary Mac’s Tea Room. Boy, are we glad we took them up on the invitation! Mary Mac’s was simply wonderful, providing us a great sampling of traditional (and delicious) Southern comfort food.

I believe in enjoying life - and that includes enjoying as many different kinds and styles of food as possible. I am an omnivore with a personal passion for small, sustainable, ethical farming and natural foods. I have little patience for the "Food Police" or those who advocate that one dietary plan is the only "right" one for everyone. Find your personal balance and conscience; make food a joy in your life - that's my motto.
